Our Foundation
About Us
A family's grief became a foundation's purpose. We exist so no other family has to go through what ours did.
Our Mission
The Bryce Tate Memorial Foundation exists to protect children and families from online sextortion through education, prevention, and advocacy — honoring the life of Bryce Tate, a 15-year-old from Cross Lanes, West Virginia, who was murdered by an online predator on November 6, 2025.
Bryce was a normal, happy teenager — a basketball player, a gamer, a kid who loved his family. In a matter of hours, a predator on social media manipulated him into sharing an image, then demanded $500 to keep it private. Bryce offered $30 — everything he had. It wasn't enough. He was taken from us that same day.
His father, Adam Tate, founded this organization to make sure Bryce's name stands for something — not just loss, but action. The Foundation raises awareness, develops school-based prevention programs, supports affected families, and advocates for stronger laws to hold predators accountable.
We believe every child deserves to know what to do before a predator strikes. That belief drives everything we build.
Leadership
Adam Tate
Founder & Executive Director
Adam Tate is Bryce's father and the driving force behind the Foundation. After losing Bryce to a predator's manipulation on November 6, 2025, Adam committed himself to turning that tragedy into protection for other families. He leads the Foundation's advocacy efforts, community outreach, and the development of the Shield Initiative school program.
In Loving Memory
Amanda Tate
Bryce's Mother
Amanda Tate is Bryce's mother — and no one carried him closer. In the wake of unimaginable loss, Amanda has chosen to honor her son the way only a mother can: by keeping him alive in the hearts of everyone who loved him. She preserves and shares the photos, videos, laughs, and memories they all lived together — the everyday moments that made Bryce who he was. She continues to be his biggest supporter, making sure the world knows not just how he was taken from us, but how fully and joyfully he lived.
He was my son, my heart. Sharing his life is how I keep him with us.

What We Stand For
Prevention First
We believe children should be equipped before a crisis — not after. Education is the most powerful tool we have.
Radical Transparency
We tell Bryce's story in full because the truth is what changes minds. Silence protects predators. Honesty protects kids.
Family-Centered
Every decision we make is filtered through one question: would this have helped Bryce's family? If yes, we pursue it.
Community-Driven
We are a grassroots organization. Our strength comes from the families, educators, and community members who show up.
Legal & Organizational Status
The Bryce Tate Memorial Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. EIN: 41-4425799. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
